green zucchini

From: Dagele Brothers Farm (Integrated Pest Management in Florida, NY)

Tender, versatile, and sweet. The perfect component of a light summer meal. Great grilled.

bosc pears

From: Migliorelli Farm (Family Farm in Red Hook, NY)

With its long-curved stem and elegant, elongated neck, Bosc pears are often called the “aristocrat of pears". Bosc pears have a more firm, dense flesh than other pear varieties, making them ideal for baking, broiling or poaching.

broccoli

From: Varied

A staple that can easily be played up. For a quick dish, sauté with soy sauce, oil, garlic and almonds. We like roasting broccoli with a few chiles and a bit of lemon…yum. Store unwashed broccoli in a plastic bag. You should keep it dry.

sweet potato fingerling

From: Juniper Hill Farm (Certified Organic in Wadhams, NY)

Put some sweetness on your plate this week. Just bake and enjoy with butter and salt.

curly green kale

From: Varied

Easy to cook and incredibly healthy. For a quick dish, cook kale for a minute in a pot of boiling water. Drain, squeeze out excess water, and sauté with olive oil and garlic for just a couple minutes. Remember to try kale chips if you haven't yet!

red & green lettuce

From: SAF Produce (Hydroponic in Albany, NY)

Green and red leaf lettuces are small with large, loose, long and wavy leaves with curly edges. Red leaf is green and burgundy in color, while green leaf is pale green with darker green highlights.

mixed fruit bag

mangos

From: (Product of Ecuador)

What are mangos? Mangos are one of the most popular fruits in the world. They are the succulent, aromatic fruits of an evergreen tree (Mangifera indica), a member of the cashew family (Anacardiaceae) of flowering plants.

black mission figs

From: (Product of Ecuador)

Figs are loaded with flavor and vitamins. This popular variety, originating in Spain, produces sweet, pear-shaped fruits that ripen into a rich, dark purple-black with delectable red flesh. Great for jellies and jams, and healthy, on-the-go snacking.

fuji apples

From: Migliorelli Farm (Family Farm in Red Hook, NY)

Sweet and crisp, these apples will disappear quickly from your refrigerator. Slice thinly and toss in a salad.

petite bananas

From: (Product of Ecuador)

Baby bananas or petite bananas wear a thin, bright yellow signature peel. As their name suggests, they are petite in size, averaging only three to four inches in length. Baby bananas have a very dense creamy texture and once ripe their flavor is rich and sweet with vanilla and caramel undertones.
