Magic Molly Potatoes

From: Skymeadow Farm (Certified Organic in Cherry Valley, NY)

Purple through and through. Magic Mollys are THE purple potato. Retaining their bright coloring even after being baked, roasted, and/or mashed. Known for their rich earthy flavor, they make for a great add on to any meal. Slice them, dice them, add some salt and roast them. Magic molly potatoes are delicious. More info

Frozen Summer Squash & Zucchini

From: Hepworth Farms (Certified Organic in Milton, NY)

We like our summer squash soft and sweet. Melt butter in a pan, then add onions and cook until soft, about 4-5 minutes. Add squash, salt, pepper, and brown sugar. Stir, then cover and cook for about 20 minutes, until squash is very soft. Remove the cover to let the excess liquid cook off. More info

From: Schoharie Valley Farms (Organically grown in Schoharie, NY)

One of our customers told us that they just don’t know what to do with parsnips. Peel them like carrots, cut them up and roast them in the oven with just a bit of olive oil. TOO EASY. They are sweet and fabulous…promise. Their delicious nutty flavor is also ideal for roasts, stews and soups.

Another apple specially grown for us by Yonder Farms. A cooking apple with very red, glossy, thick skin, and flesh. When cooked, the flavor intensifies and the apple holds its shape. More info
