There are dozens of varieties of peppers varying in size, shape, color, and flavor, and peppers are broadly categorized as either sweet or hot. In the middle of the spectrum, this one is really the go-to classic!
Peppers are a very good source of a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Vitamin B6 and Folate. Red peppers have much more Vitamin C and Vitamin A than green peppers.
Fried, roasted or raw they are the perfect pepper!
Start with washing and drying the peppers. Slice them in half lengthwise, and remove the core and seeds. Next, place the peppers, cut side down, on a lined rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in oven for 40 minutes, until soft and nicely charred.
